HOW RESOLUTION CHANGES LIVES It often takes years before an person with PTSD decides to ask for help. Many are put off by the idea of 'becoming a patient', 'giving in' or 'admitting to the world that you can't cope'. Resolution is different - it's an outpatient service at discreet locations around the UK, so no-one except you will know you have been, unless you decide to add your own story to this page. Here are some excerpts from letters we have received from former patients: "Still no nightmares, even after the (Falklands) pilgrimage. I thought the trip to San Carlos would set it all a-rolling again and spent a lot of time worrying about it beforehand. But it didn't. Of course the day was emotional - I'm no robot - but the following nights were as peaceful as I could have hoped." "I had my first two hour session which did not involve any in detail discussion about my trauma; indeed my therapist still has no knowledge of the events which traumatised me. After the session I went away not knowing what to expect, that night my nightmares ceased, I became much calmer and to this day have not had one flashback or re-enactment episode, I threw out my anti depressants. I have re connected to those around me and can hold down a job." "I feel really great and have at present no problems... I have not felt this good for a long time. I will keep you informed of how I am progressing as time goes by. Many thanks for your help and support."
