PTSD Resolution: UK military post-traumatic stress mission PTSD Resolution - Military post-traumatic stress wrecks lives. Symptoms range from nightmares and substance abuse, to family breakdown and suicide.
A single course of treatment is usually all that’s required, delivered through a national network of therapists, trained in HGT (Human Givens Therapy) - a successful therapy for dealing with mental distress.

OUR MISSION

Our Mission is this: to ensure effective therapy for military PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder).

Better access and availability of treatment for all veterans of the UK armed services.

The PTSD Resolution programme involves a series of one-hour therapy sessions on a one-to-one, out-patient basis, to relieve veterans of disabling symptoms.

PTSD Resolution treatment meets the special needs of veterans.   It is effective without the therapist or anyone else ever knowing about the events that caused the trauma.   This ensures confidentiality.

It protects the patient from further distress, and therapists from hearing about often extremely disturbing incidents.  These are important safeguards.

We are also doing new research and raising awareness of the causes and treatment of post traumatic stress.  PTSD is little understood by veterans - or their families, friends or employers, the people who are often very much affected by the destructive behaviour associated with the condition.

A key area of research will be the plight of veterans in the prison and probation system – who number some 20,000 today.
