A single course of treatment is usually all that’s required, delivered through a national network of therapists, trained in HGT (Human Givens Therapy) - a successful therapy for dealing with mental distress.

RESOLUTION NETWORKS: COORDINATORS

If you are an HG Therapist and would like to join us as a local PTSD Resolution Coordinator for the Resolution Network, please click here

Coordinators are HG Therapists who help create and build a network in their city/ county, to build links with those agencies that could be helpful to Veterans suffering from Post Traumatic Stress symptoms or who need support in conjunction with treatment; and that can help with fund-raising.

The Aim of the network is to maximise awareness of PTSD Resolution nationally at a ‘grass roots’ level so as to:-

  • increase the ‘reach’ of PTSD Resolution through local hubs
  • raise new funds; start new independent initiatives that are largely self-supporting
  • attract veterans, TA and reservists requiring treatment at a local level
  • mobilise new sources of referrals and 3rd  party participation at a local level as per the list

The Strategy is:

  • To set up local support at county level with at least one HG therapist and one veteran, who are interested, committed and with some free time to give to the project
  • To encourage local supporters to help to organise local fund-raising and connect with 3rd parties as per the list at Annex A
  • To maintain regular contact between the Board and local hub, on a monthly basis, probably through Skype
  • Organic framework: the Board will support individual therapists in their work for the County Network

The Benefits for Therapists are:

  • To create wider therapeutic work for each contact and their colleagues
  • To increase potential for new therapy work in the community
  • To generate new knowledge in this therapeutic field

The list of service and non-service agencies, is not exhaustive, but gives you some ideas for where to start.  We have found that at the county level there may well be people who recognize the value of what we are doing and are not hung up by conventional prejudice or ignorance.  Making contact with the County or Regional representatives of RBL, SSAFA, ABF etc would be a good start.  Within the list is reference to Resolution Pub Hubs, and part of what you can do will be to help them develop and deliver useful local support.  We will keep you up to date with Resolution Pub Hubs as they come on stream.

There are many organizations and agencies playing in this pool, and it is important that we show a desire to cooperate.  A recent one is the Armed Forces Network, set up by the Department of Health.  This would be a convenient place to make connections, and I will provide you with the name and contact details of the one relevant to you, once you have told me you are ready to ‘walk the talk’.
